Jen is a premier makeup artist well established throughout houston and the state of Texas. Her makeup skills have beautified faces in the fashion, beauty, Hollywood, commercial, and bridal industries since 2000. Sought after for her expert color instincts and artistry techniques, Jen's makeup talents have landed her work with both local and national publications, celebrity clientele, high-profile commercial campaigns, national network t.v. episodes, sag films, and designer runway shows.

jen specializes in all aspects of makeup artistry, including MAKEUP FOR PHOTOGRAPHY & PRINT EDITORIALS, CAMERA-READY MAKEUP FOR T.V./Film, Commercial & Video PRODUCTION, headshots, bridal artistry, high-definition airbrush artistry, and WORKING WITH Special effects.

Valued and trusted among her clients and peers, Jen offers a fun-loving and kind-hearted approach to each new face, always allowing her client's voice to be heard. her affinity for a more natural esthetic lends an “effortless beauty” look to her clients, although she also loves providing full glam faces AND BRINGING THE DRAMA when her client wants to be a showstopper.

Jen has a background in fine arts, and thanks to an early love of everything makeup, Jen is primarily a self-taught makeup artist…utilizing her formal training of color theory and blending techniques acquired during her time pursuing her art degree, and years of experience in perfecting her craft.

~BACKGROUND~

Already showcasing a keen eye for her makeup artistry and skill, Jen began working with high-end makeup lines such as Prescriptives and Lancome in early 2000 while pursuing her art degree. By 2004, she had graduated into working at a well-known luxury day spa in the prestigious river oaks neighborhood of Houston, AND SOON thereafter, became the National Artist and Educator for a luxury spa cosmetics line.

JEN began traveling nationwide to exclusive salons and celebrity-frequented day spas, making special ARTIST booking appearances TO provide a state-of-the-art artistry experience for their clients. As a product educator, Jen also conducted educational trainings to the spa staff, teaching PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE AND artist application TECHNIQUES for every skin tone, skin type, and face shape.

Jen remains current on cosmetic trends and the latest artistry techniques through continuing education. she received training as a certified airbrush artist in 2006, pioneering the airbrush trend as one of the earlier airbrush artists in Houston. jen received additional training at Cinema Makeup School in Hollywood, California, learning time-period looks, photoshoot hairstyling, corrective paramedical makeup application, and special effects. JEN has also attended pro artist training seminars, studying under the guidance of highly acclaimed celebrity makeup artists Orlando Santiago and Scott Barnes. 

~PERSONAL~

When jen is not found working on set, beautifying a bride, or in a client's personal home, her time is spent enjoying being a mom to her two little boys, As well as her two fur-baby daughters Lizzy Lou and Clarabell.
